The MCX connector (Micro Coaxial connector) is a type of RF coaxial connector developed in the 1980s. It is designed to provide a smaller, lighter alternative to the SMB connector, boasting roughly 30% smaller outer diameter while maintaining the same inner contact and insulator dimensions. Standardized under the European CECC 22220 specification, MCX connectors offer broadband capabilities from DC to 6 GHz, with some variants extending beyond this range.
The MMCX connector is a micro-miniature coaxial connector designed for high-frequency applications up to 6 GHz. It is essentially a smaller, lighter version of the MCX connector but with a similar push-on snap coupling mechanism. MMCX connectors conform to European CECC 22000 specifications, ensuring quality and reliability.
