Series SMC RF Coaxial Connector: Miniature Threaded Solution For High-Density RF Interconnection

Release time:2026-01-31     Visits:1

Series SMC RF Coaxial Connector is a subminiature, high-performance RF connecting component featuring a secure threaded coupling mechanism, compliant with MIL-C-39012, IEC 169-18 and MIL-STD-348 standards. As a classic miniature RF connector, it balances compact size, reliable performance and cost-effectiveness, serving as a core interconnection part in high-density, medium-to-high frequency RF systems across multiple industries.
The series boasts excellent electrical performance tailored for diverse scenarios. With a standard characteristic impedance of 50Ω (75Ω optional for specific applications), it supports a working frequency range of DC to 10GHz, perfectly adapting to microwave, telecommunications and test & measurement signal transmission needs. Key electrical parameters are reliable: VSWR is controlled within 1.20+(0.04×f(GHz)) for RG-316 cables, insertion loss is up to 0.25dB max for straight types, contact resistance ≤6mΩ initially, and insulation resistance ≥1000MΩ, ensuring minimal signal attenuation and distortion.
Its unique advantages lie in the miniature size and secure 10-32 UNS threaded coupling. The compact, lightweight design enables high-density PCB layout, suitable for space-constrained equipment, while the threaded mechanism ensures firm mating and strong vibration resistance—critical for harsh environments. Manufactured with precision processes, it adopts brass housing (gold or nickel-plated), gold-plated beryllium copper contacts and PTFE insulators, withstanding -65℃ to +165℃ working temperature and 500+ plugging cycles.
Widely applied in antennas, test instruments, telecommunications equipment, GPS tracking modules and high-density PCB interconnections, it is usually paired with semi-rigid or miniature flexible cables like RG-174 and RG-316. As a cost-effective, reliable solution, it remains widely used in miniaturized RF systems, supporting stable signal transmission for various industrial and commercial applications.
