Series MMBX/MBX RF Coaxial Connectors are a family of ultra-miniature, high-reliability RF connecting components, specially developed for board-to-board and board-to-module RF interconnections. Compliant with relevant industry standards, they feature a compact design, excellent misalignment compensation and reliable performance, serving as core interconnection parts in high-integration, miniaturized RF systems across aerospace, communication and industrial fields.
The two series share core advantages while having differentiated characteristics. Both adopt 50Ω characteristic impedance (the main specification) and support high-frequency signal transmission: MMBX covers DC to 12.4GHz, with a minimum board-to-board distance of only 6.7mm; MBX supports up to higher power (260W typical at 2.4GHz) and offers best-in-class axial misalignment compensation of ±1.2mm, with radial misalignment up to ±1.0mm. Key electrical parameters are outstanding: VSWR is controlled within ≤1.3, insulation resistance ≥1000MΩ, ensuring stable, low-loss transmission.
Their unique advantages lie in blind-mate capability and compact size, enabling tool-free connection without visual alignment and high-density PCB layout. Manufactured with precision processes, they adopt gold-plated beryllium copper contacts, brass housing and high-performance insulators, withstanding -55℃ to +155℃ working temperature and multiple plugging cycles. MBX also has a second-generation variant optimized for materials and plating for cost-effectiveness.
Widely applied in radio modules, miniaturized RF devices, radar systems, satellite communication and test instruments, they are paired with miniature flexible or semi-rigid cables. As equipment evolves towards integration and miniaturization, this connector family remains a flexible, reliable solution for board-to-board RF interconnection.
