Series MCX/MMCX RF Coaxial Connector: Miniature Snap-On High-Density Solution

Release time:2026-01-31     Visits:2

Series MCX/MMCX RF Coaxial Connectors are a family of miniature, high-performance RF connecting components, featuring convenient snap-on locking mechanisms and compact designs. Compliant with CECC, MIL-STD and IEC standards, they are tailored for space-constrained, high-density applications, serving as core interconnection parts in wireless communication, consumer electronics and test & measurement fields.
The two series share core advantages while having distinct size and performance differentiations. Both adopt 50Ω characteristic impedance (75Ω optional for MCX) and support DC to 6GHz signal transmission, with VSWR ≤1.30 and low insertion loss, ensuring stable, low-leakage RF performance. MCX is 30% smaller than SMB connectors, offering higher power capacity and voltage resistance; MMCX, a scaled-down version of MCX (about 30% smaller), features ultra-low profile and 360° rotational mating for greater design flexibility.
Their unique advantages lie in tool-free snap-on coupling, enabling quick mating and disconnection, and compact sizes that facilitate high-density PCB layouts. Manufactured with precision processes, they use gold-plated brass/beryllium copper contacts, nickel/gold-plated brass housing and PTFE insulators, withstanding -55℃ to +155℃ working temperature and 500+ plugging cycles, and resisting vibration and moisture.
Widely applied in GPS modules, portable electronics, wireless routers, test instruments and in-ear monitors, they pair with miniature flexible cables like RG-174 and RG-316. As equipment evolves towards miniaturization, this connector family remains a cost-effective, reliable solution for compact RF interconnection, balancing performance and design flexibility.
