Series SSMC RF Coaxial Connector is an ultra-miniature, high-performance RF connecting component featuring a secure threaded coupling mechanism, compliant with IEC 60169-18 and MIL-STD-202 standards. As a miniaturized upgrade of SMC connectors, it is approximately one-third smaller, designed for space-constrained, high-density applications that require reliable vibration-resistant connections, serving as a core interconnection part in microwave, aerospace and test & measurement systems.
The series boasts excellent electrical performance tailored for high-frequency scenarios. With a standard characteristic impedance of 50Ω (75Ω optional for specific applications), it supports a wide working frequency range from DC to 12.4GHz, perfectly adapting to high-frequency signal transmission needs. Key electrical parameters are superior: VSWR is controlled within 1.25 at 6GHz and up to 1.49 at maximum frequency, insertion loss is as low as 0.1√f (GHz) dB, contact resistance of inner conductor ≤5mΩ and outer conductor ≤2.5mΩ, ensuring minimal signal attenuation and distortion.
Its unique advantages lie in ultra-miniature size and secure threaded coupling. The compact design minimizes PCB space, making it ideal for high-density layouts and handheld devices, while the threaded mechanism ensures firm mating and strong vibration resistance—critical for harsh-environment applications. Manufactured with precision processes, it adopts brass or beryllium copper housing (nickel or gold-plated), gold-plated beryllium copper contacts and PTFE insulators, enhancing conductivity and corrosion resistance. It can withstand -65℃ to +165℃ working temperature, 500+ plugging cycles, and harsh conditions like salt fog and thermal shock.
Widely applied in avionic equipment, handheld devices, radar systems, satellite communication stations, test instruments and weapon control systems, it is usually paired with semi-rigid or miniature flexible cables. As equipment evolves towards miniaturization and high density, it remains a reliable, high-performance solution for ultra-compact RF interconnection.
